Contest Automation

Contezo features a powerful automation engine, which eliminates the need to stand watch over contests and manually advance phases. During setup, you have the ability to automate the entire process with just a few clicks. Automation is available across all contest types

To enable Contest Automation, follow these instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Contests Page by clicking Contests in the main navigation at the top of any page
  2. Utilize the search options to find the contest you want to automate
  3. Click on the three-dot menu on the far right of your contest
  4. Select Setup
Tip: Double check / validate all of your contest's start and end dates. All phases must have valid start and end dates before Contest Automation may be enabled
  1. Click Options & Publishing on the left
  2. Click the Contest Automation Slider under the Automatically advance phases section. This will trigger a series of internal checks and add your contest to the scheduler. Once you’ve clicked this, make sure you click the green “Finish” button
Note: Once enabled, updating any of the contest dates within Contest Settings will automatically disable Contest Automation and move the contest from automatic to manual mode
Tip: When Contest Automation enabled, it's even more important for the moderation to happen prior to the contest's scheduled advancement.For example, a ballot contest will automatically advance with no error messages without any selected / advanced contestants made during Contestant Selection. A photo contest will automatically advance with no error messages even without any approved photo entries during Entry
